Is that relationship serving you?
Take care of yourself

Hi friends! Hope everyone’s having a good week so far. Us? We’re still recovering from all of the Cadbury chocolate eggs we had in our Easter baskets.
Important Note: We can’t believe it’s been 2+ years of WorkDaze in your inbox pretty much every single week! And while we’ve loved every second of it, we’ve decided to publish every other week beginning in May. With both of us having full-time jobs, we’re practicing setting healthy work boundaries to avoid burnout ourselves! Thank you again for rocking with for as long as you have, we couldn’t do it without ya.
Song of the day: Look, we’re all just trying to make it through one day at a time, so we feel like Avril Lavinge’s “Keep Holding On” is an appropriate tune rn.
Have a Q for WorkDaze or the podcast? Let’s hear it here!
How to Know If Relationships in Your Life Are Serving You
Whether it’s your ride-or-die BFF, your situationship from 2019 that still sends you “Happy Birthday” texts, or your weird cousin who’s always made fun of you, relationships are a giant part of life. Ideally, they should give main character energy and offer support, good vibes, and let you be your full unfiltered self.
While some connections are meant to stick around forever (like that one friend who knows those stories from college), others are just passing through (like that limited-edition ELF x Chipotle eyeshadow palette from 2021).
Below are three key signs a relationship is actually adding value to your life and not just draining your battery like those open apps on your phone right now (maybe now’s a good time to close those?).
You feel energized, not drained after spending time with them. You’re not constantly dreading, recovering from the interaction, or second-guessing yourself.
There’s mutual support and respect. You both show up for each other emotionally, mentally, and sometimes even physically when it counts (not just when it's convenient). Even when you text them “SOS,” when they already know it’s not actually an emergency.
You can be yourself without fear of judgment. You don’t feel like you have to shrink, filter, or explain who you are or what you’re feeling.
If you find your relationship not providing the things above, it may be time to reevaluate your bond. Remember things don’t have to last forever if they’re doing you more harm than good.

…after you finally catch up with your long-distance BFF on your lunch break.

Who says a salad has to be healthy? Next time you’re looking for a sweet little treat after dinner, this Viral Snickers Salad from Ashley Markle is IT.

Are you all caught up with Are You Mad At Me? And if not, now seems like the perfect time to listen. :)

Gabi made her pup Archie a TikTok, and if you thought her entire personality was him already, just wait until you see this…
Thanks so much for reading today! We’ll catch you next week. Love you, mean it.
